Monique Winley was born to parents of Caribbean, French and Spanish decent. Born in Bronx, New York in 1970, Monique has always been fascinated with cutting edge fashion growing up in New York City watching pre-show carpet arrivals on TV while stars walked the Red Carpet. 

 

   Aside from pursuing her dreams she has had her fair share of trials and tribulations. Having been in an abusive marriage for four years, she has made it her lifelong mission to advocate for abused women everywhere. Currently, she works for a non-profit organization that provides services for battered women and their children. Ms. Winley has spoken at many speaking engagements sharing her personal story to educate and inspire women of the common signs of Domestic Violence.

  

   Since then, she ended her marriage in 2000.  Fast forward to 2007 Monique moved her entire family to Atlanta, where she then realized her true calling to pursue a career in fashion after assisting a friend’s mother with her hi-end boutique; revamping the store’s entire visual merchandising displays, which increased sales for the owner.

  

   Monique, having no formal training, displayed an innate artistic and creative talent for wardrobe styling, began researching fashion designers predictions and trendy forecasts to become knowledgeable in her field. She instinctively knew what looked good as well as what was fashion-forward in order to utilize her former education as a Business Management/Computer Technology major to becoming empowered to utilize her savvy business skills to create and own a full service image and wardrobe styling company called, “House of Style by Monique.”

  

   Forward, 6 years later, House of Style by Monique (HOSBM) has expanded as a full service boutique, servicing but not limited to model and celebrity clientele. In addition to; fashion show production, with brand recognition in New York City and Atlanta, GA. Monique is considered to be a tour de force in the fashion industry not only as a Wardrobe Stylist, published Fashion Writer, Runway Model and Fashion Show Producer but also as an up and coming Business-Fashion Mogul to an in demand growing fashion movement. 

 

   With over 6 years’ as a professional Wardrobe Stylist working with agency and aspiring models, performing artists and entertainers in all aspects of the fashion and entertainment industry, including runway shows, photo shoots and private events. Monique has competed among designers from all over the country in the 2009 Battle of the Models/Designers Competition at the Georgia World Congress Center.In 2010, Monique’s talents landed her an opportunity to be the first stylist to ever debut a complete styling collection during New York Fashion Week at Pearl Studios in New York City through an organization called "7 on Seventh," by founder Ray Skerrett. 

 

   This cosmopolitan stylist is a force to be reckoned with, Monique Winley, a Business Fashion Mogul and mother to 3 daughters, Tiyanna, ‘Chylo and Valentina currently resides in her beloved hometown of Bronx, New York where she conducts the day to day operations of House of Style By Monique - Fashion Forward!
